Born in Lviv, Ukraine. Immigrated to the U.S. in 1950. Received 3 yr. certificate from the Newark School of Fine Arts; BS Fine Art, Art Ed. minor, New York University; additional courses at the Art Students League of New York, private courses and workshops. In 1997, she was selected a guest of the Chinese Government, traveled to China and gave demos. She has most recently, exhibited her pastels at the International Pastel Exhibition Invitational, Contemporary Art Academy of Qindao (2014); Xi’an Art Museum Invitational (2014-15) Taiwan Museum, Taipei (2014-15), The Ukrainian Museum (2015), among others. Her pastels have been published widely, appearing in such works as International Pastel Artist Invitational Exhibition Catalogue (2010; 2012); American Artist; Artist’s Magazine, and Pastel Journal. She has received numerous awards, including the Allied Artist of America, NY Dianne B. Bernhard Gold Medal, the Audubon Artists, NY Art Spirit Foundation gold, and Pastel Society’s H.K. Holbein Award. President of the Pastel Society of America, 1998-2001; Elected International Honorable member of The Beijing Pastel Research Academy; Board of Directors Catherine Lorillard Wolff Art Club (2015).
