Alexander J. Motyl (b. 1953) studied painting with Leon Goldin at Columbia University. He has taken part in group shows in New York, Washington DC, Philadelphia, and North Carolina; he has had solo shows in New York, Toronto, and Philadelphia. His paintings are permanently on exhibit at the Tori Collection Gallery in Philadelphia. Motyl is also the author of the novels, Whiskey Priest, Who Killed Andrei Warhol, Flippancy, and The Jew Who Was Ukrainian. Motyl is professor of political science at Rutgers University-Newark.
